Who Killed Bambi?

A dangerous criminal gang is riding the net. They act in the dark, exploring the most sinister places, in search for the bloody heart of talent and creativity. Their favourite victims are banality, conformism, lack of humor and good will at any cost.Killing Bambi is a good metaphor for their mission. They are unarmed, actually, but they can still hurt.
So be careful...

Marfa - sweet Marfa

When I grow up, I want to check into the Thunderbird hotel in Marfa, TX, rent a remington type writer and a record player and sit out at the pool with a bucket of ice-cold tecate.

silent film of Athens Georgia in 1947

This 16mm color amateur film of scenes in and around Athens was made by Joel A. Wier who was, at that time, Executive Director of the Athens Housing Authority as well as Director of the Athens Chamber of Commerce (1931-1949). This short clip (14 mins.) is excerpted from the full film (approx. 45 mins.) and is silent.

America 2

America I’ve given you all and now I’m nothing.
America four dollars a gallon April 15, 2008
I can’t stand my own mind.
America when will you end the War on Terror?
Go fuck yourself with your dirty bomb
I don’t feel good don’t bother me.
I won’t write my blog til I’m in my right mind.
America when will you be more French?
When will you take off your clothes? America why are your websites full of tears
I’m sick of your insane demands.
America when can I get perfect cell phone reception?
When can I go into Walmart and buy what I want with my good looks?
America after all it is you and I who are perfect not Canada.
Your technology is too much for me
You made me want to be a saint. There must be some other way to settle this argument.
Bob Barker is in retirement and I don’t think he’ll come back its sinister
Are you being sinister or is this some form of practical joke? I'm trying to come to the point. I refuse to give up my obsession. America stop pushing I know what I'm doing.
I haven’t seen CNN for months, everyday somebody goes on trial for murder
America I feel sentimental about Reganomics
America I voted for Ralph Nader when I was a kid and I’m not sorry
I smoke marijuana every chance I get.
America ask your doctor if I’m right for you
I’m addressing you.
Are you going to let our emotional life be run by US Magazine?
I’m obsessed by US Magazine
I read it every week
Its always telling me about responsibility
CEOs are serious. Movie producers are serious. Everybody’s serious but me.
It occurs to me that I am America. I am talking to myself again.
Asia is rising against me. I haven't got a chinaman's chance. I'd better consider my national resources. My national resources consist of a two cans of Red Bull millions of genitals an unmarketable documentary that goes 1400 mph and
Twentyfivethousand pharmaceutical companies.
I say nothing about my prisons nor the millions of underpriviliged who live in my flowerpots under the light of five hundred hydroponic bulbs.
America free Guantanamo
America when I was sixteen momma took me to a Green Party meeting they sold us garbanzos a handful per ticket a ticket cost a dollar and the speeches were free and everybody was angelic and sentimental about the environment it was so sincere you have no idea what a good thing the party was in 1992
America you don’t really want to go to war
America its them bad Al qaeda
Them Al qaeda them Al qaeda and them Chinamen. And them Al qaeda
Al qaeda wants to eat us alive. The Al qaeda power mad. She wants to take our SUVs from our garages.
Her want to grab New York.
Him want our oil rigs in Iraq.
Her make us all work sixteen hours a day. Help.
America this is quite serious.
America this is the impression I get from looking into the plasma TV.
America is this correct?
I'd better get right down to the job.
Its true I don’t want to join the Army or build html code
I have restless leg syndrome anyway
America, I’m taking my beer cooler to the beach.

The day there was no news

I love this piece:
